Acupuncture
REGULATES THE FLOW OF ENERGY THROUGH THE VESSELS AND ORGANS, OPENS PATHWAYS, AND STRENGTHENS THE BODY’S DEFENSES.
Acupuncture promotes the body’s ability to heal naturally. Aligning the physical with the mind and spirit and restoring balance to the body. Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, a complete medical system dating back 3000 years.
Acupuncture is a safe and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical conditions.
Acupuncture is the placement of ultra-thin needles into the skin and underlying soft tissues at specific points on the body. Accessing and treating acu-points promotes the body’s ability to heal naturally. It can restore balance to body systems, bolster immunity, support physical and emotional health and improve overall function and well-being. Acupuncture is a safe and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical conditions.
“Reni is outstanding. She’s helped me enormously with managing my Celiac symptoms, anxiety, hip pain, and shoulder pain. Every time I leave her office I feel incredibly relaxed.”
Cupping
INCREASES BLOOD CIRCULATION, LOOSENS TIGHT MUSCLES, REDUCES ACHES AND PAINS, PROMOTES RELAXATION.
Cupping therapy treats the muscles and connective tissues of the body. Depending on the needed treatment the cups may be left stationary for a period of time or they may be moved about the surface of the body.
The marks from cupping therapy are not bruises!
It’s a common misconception that the marks left by cupping are bruises. A bruise occurs when capillaries are damaged by trauma causing subcutaneous bleeding that pools into the surrounding tissues leading to visible discoloration and pain. Cupping draws stagnant blood and other fluids that are no longer in healthy circulation up to the skin level so that proper circulation can be restored to the affected area. The discoloration of the cup marks can vary in color from light pink to crimson, and in severe cases purple or black. These marks are painless and usually last for a short time, but in serious or chronic cases they may last up to a week or more. Less discoloration will appear over time with continued treatment.
“I had an excellent experience at Auburn Acupuncture! I was going through breast cancer at the time and Reni’s treatments seriously limited common side effects associated with my chemotherapy and radiation. The acupuncture helped with my nausea and fatigue, I attribute that to the regular acupuncture treatments I had received. Reni is great to work with and I highly recommend going to Auburn Acupuncture!!!”
Guasha
DECREASES TIGHTNESS AND PAIN OF STIFF AND/OR KNOTTED MUSCLES. REDUCES INFLAMMATION AND LESSENS SCAR TISSUE.
Guasha (pronounced GWA-SAH) is a soft tissue practice using a specific guasha tool, made from ceramic, jade, and/or various types of metal. By applying unidirectional press-stroking across the skin surface guasha produces temporary but intentional redness (aka “Sha”, i.e. “therapeutic bruise”). Sha marks may appear unsightly; they are painless and are achieved in a safe, non-invasive way. Guasha improves blood circulation and range of motion, boosts the immune system, deceases pain and stiffness of knotted muscles while treating acute and chronic conditions.
